  • How Does The Alpha Keeper Money Belt Stack Up?

It appears that Alpha Keeper have had a good look around at their competition and built this money belt with all the features they could find. Does this translate to a comfortable, well constructed and functional money belt? Well yes actually, it does! Is it perfect? Well, no, but it’s pretty darn impressive regardless.

The first big plus is the addition of bundling some RFID sleeves with the belt. For your purchase, you receive 6 x Credit Card sleeves and 1 x Passport sleeves. Whether or not this dissuades a consumer from trusting in the innate technology already built into the belt or not is still in question. Regardless, it’s a nice touch and adds another dimension of security to the wallet.

The zips and buckles are pretty standard quality and the general design of the belt is typical. There is a larger back pocket with a smaller pocket at the front. The buckles fasten to the front which helps the belt curve around your gut. The larger section has credit card pockets that help you keep your cards organised. I love these pockets and they really do make a difference to organizing your left when on the trail.

In addition to the two front pockets, Alpha Keeper have a back pocket built into the the mesh padding at the back. Useful at times, I find these pockets can sometimes compromise your comfort when moving around. The strap on this money belt is epic and can be adjusted to 70″! I don’t think I’ve seen a strap with this much length available.

    Look and Feel

The nylon used is your usual high quality Nylon Ripstop meaning it’s waterproof and lightweight. It’s not the softest material in the world but is incredibly strong, thin and durable. Not quite as big as the Venture 4th money belt, the Alpha Keeper Money Belt is still a little large vertically.

Honestly this can be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preference. The size of the belt helps you fit more in your wallet but may be a little awkward on smaller frames. In saying this, it felt like there wasn’t a huge amount of storage space. It’s also not quite as thin as other wallets as the padding bulks it out a bit. The design is nothing new here but it’s a proven concept and would suit just about anyone setting off for a trip.

The Alpha Keeper money belt comes in beige or black, check out other Alpha Keeper products here.

REVIEW – Alpha Keeper Money Belt
I can't really argue with the inherent value in the Alpha Keeper and it certainly has all the bells and whistles. The strap is great, the construction sturdy and by doubling up the RFID blocking, it's certainly very safe. Would suit medium-long term travelling in medium to high risk areas.
